I currently manage the user experience and design user interfaces for DDI's Web, Demand Generation and Marketing and Communications teams.
I research, advice and created the digital mobile app strategy for marketing and mobile web strategy for DDI.
Before I moved to Pittsburgh I worked for the city of New York. I managed the intranet and internet sites for the largest municipal childcare agency in the country, NYC ACS (Administration for Children’s Services). ACS it is also one of New York City's largest government city agencies. I created the official brand for ACS and managed the agencies internet and intranet sites, which I also created, designed and built. I also created the Brand and Website Design for Joe Simon (Creator of Captain America).
I manage, create and design multiple interactive website projects from concept, design, build, testing to completion, training and hand off. I am a team player and have worked with a variety of Clients, Senior Managers, Commissioners, Senior VP's and CEO's, ensuring my websites are up to date, informative and keeping pace with new technologies.
I have over 16 years of Creative Multimedia Design experience, having previously worked as a Web Design Consultant for New York City Government, an Animator for Microsoft and a Graphic Designer/Layout Specialist for an
Entertainment Newspaper.
Whether you need dynamic custom designed Websites, E-Commerce solutions or creative Brand strategies, you have found a talented, innovative, Multimedia Designer with experience and vision.
I was assigned and given the responsibility to rebrand the largest municipal childcare agency in the country, ACS (Administration for Children’s Services). The agency wanted to update it’s public image and rebrand itself. Everything from desktop screensavers, intranet and internet to employee and police ID badges had to get redesigned.
I coordinated meeting with major stakeholders in the agency, e.g. art director, creative director, deputy commissioners and even the commissioner himself to gain a better understanding and insight into the core values of the new brand. All communication material both physical and digital needed to be redesigned and launched simultaneously.
Building on that core information from stakeholders I envisioned the art direction and design for the new ACS brand. Our senior team of creatives and I made sure we were using the same tools (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, QuarkXpress etc.) and knew what our obligations and timeframe was in designing for the new brand.
The Administration for Children’s Services launched our new brand that was mobile friendly and used colorful images and vibrant colors to help set the tone for the agency. The new brand and especially the new website was well received throughout the agency and I was personally thanked by Mayor Bloomberg for my pivotal role in the rebranding.

DDI was in the middle of a major web redesign and needed to make sure the new site was mobile focused and mobile friendly.
Having already built several websites and mobile responsive sites, I was tasked to make sure the newly designed site was mobile ready and to design the UI/UX to be responsive and sometimes customized for mobile.
I helped integrate bootstrap into our Kentico CMS and created a series of UIUX wireframes to secure approval from the project stakeholders. I then designed the actual user interface and helped guide the user experience for the new website. As the project progressed we felt we could control the responsive elements without the need for bootstrap so I created custom web parts and code that targeted mobile.
Traffic to the site has increased by 70% and there are almost 1 million visitors annually. After its successful launch I was selected to join DDI’s core mobile strategy team and gave advice and recommendations about UIUX best practices for all DDI’s mobile properties.

The DDI assessment center website needed a new brand identity and the site had to be made mobile friendly.
I was assigned the task of building the new mobile friendly site and to manage the new brand identity that needed to be created for the site.
I implemented the Bootstrap framework as the foundation to build on and created a series of high level UI UX wireframes to secure approval from the creative director, brand director and webmaster.
After the new site was launched the website traffic increased by 87.5% and mobile traffic increased by 808%. I was thanked personally by DDI’s CEO Bill Byham for the new website design and he was especially pleased with its new mobile friendly functionality and ease of use. After the launch of the newly designed response website I joined DDI’s core mobile strategy team and am currently involved in the mobile strategy and direction of thee company.

New York City ACS wanted to redesign it's intranet with a stylish, modern look and the emphasis on ease of use. It also wanted a content management system implemented to help deputy commissioners update and publish content to their own divisions. The original site can be viewed here to the bottom right. The middle image is a proposal and the image on the left is the final live site.
With a Hollywood movie about to launch, Jim Simon (Son of Joe Simon) wanted a complete visual revamp of the company's site. He also wanted a memorable brand created.
This all had to be approved by not only himself but by his father Joe Simon who created Captain America.
With over 18 years of expierence I have a wealth of examples. Many of these are still available on my old site.
